COVID-19 Update: The EMCC campus is open for classes, appointments, and walk-in services. Masks are required for everyone inside ALL buildings at EMCC.  All student support services are still available online. Students are encouraged to contact their instructors for additional information.

Student COVID-19 On-campus Protocols



If you are feeling sick, it is important that you stay home.

Face coverings and social distancing are required while on campus.


Have you had close contact with someone who has tested positive for or exhibited COVID-19 symptoms?

  1. Stay home for 14 days from your last exposure
  2. Alert your faculty member(s) of your situation
  3. Complete the MCCCD COVID-19 potential exposure form at
  4. After 14 days, you may return to campus if you do not develop COVID-19 symptoms
  5. If you do develop symptoms, follow the steps below.

Have you tested positive for COVID-19 or had COVID-19 symptoms?

  1. Please stay home for 10 days from the date of your positive test or first day of symptoms
  2. Alert your faculty member(s) of your situation
  3. Complete the MCCCD COVID Symptoms or Confirmed case form at
  4. You may return after 10 days if either of the following is true:
  • You have no symptoms
  • Your symptoms are improving and you have not had a fever for 24 hours (without the use of fever reducing medicine such as aspirin, ibuprofen, tylenol)
