0800 -  Same-Day Registration, Shirt and Swag Bag Pick-Up

0815 - Warm-Up Stretches with Cross Fit Fury

0830 - Let's do this! Run Start. Keep in mind it's a FUN RUN, meaning go at your own pace and do as much or as little as you desire. 

0900 - Warrior's Breakfast Start

0930 - Veterans Day Ceremony with special performances and guest speakers.

The Veterans Day Fun Run is a 5K Run (3.1 miles), with mini military bootcamp-like obstacles throughout. Bootcamp stations consist of various calisthenics, ammo can lifts, tire flips, and more. The run will conclude an awesome Grenade Toss Finale! Don't worry they're only dummy grenades. 


Run, Walk, or Skip it!

We know you're a rock star and enjoy a challenge but please don't overexert yourself. Any and all bootcamp stations can be bypassed if desired. 


Can kids run? 

The short answer, Sure!

There is no official kids run in place as of yet, but your children are more than welcome to join you during the fun run. Children do not need to be registered for the run.

All run registrants will receive an official 5th Annual Veterans Day Fun Run commemorative performance t-shirt, swag bag with giveaways, and a free Warrior's Breakfast.

Check-In & Shirt & Swag Bag Pick-Up will take place the morning of event, at event location. 0800 - 0830. Register by October 31st for a guaranteed run shirt in your size. 

You can register through morning of event but run shirts and swag bags will not be guaranteed for same day registration. You will still get the free Warrior's Breakfast.

We know you're a rock star and enjoy a challenge, but please don't overexert yourself. Walk, run, go at your own pace. Any and all obstacles throughout the run can be bypassed if desired. 


Hydrate! Thanks to our friends at Liberty Utilities, there will be plenty of water to keep hydrated throughout the event, but be sure to hydrate ahead of time as well. 


Eat something light. Fruit, protein bars and pre-run fuel (coffee) will be provided at event. 


Stretch! Join us 8:15 for a group warm-up and/or do your own stretches pre and post fun run. 


Bring the family! This is an all inclusive event. All are welcome to join us for the event Veterans Day Ceremony and Warrior's Breakfast with or without fun run participation. Breakfast free to military, veterans and included with run registration (a suggested $5 donation for all others).

Team and individual packet pick-up for commemorative Veterans Day Fun Run race shirt, swag bag, and program will occur the morning of event, at event location. 0800 - 0830

Each year the Veterans Day Celebration & Fun Run is organized to honor and support the Veterans among us.
All run proceeds will directly support Veterans Increasing Persistence Program (VIPP). This program is designed to assist veterans in financial situations that may prevent them from going to school or completing a degree.

Absolutely. We value your contribution. You can register for the run or simply make a donation of your choosing.

Enjoy a Warrior's Breakfast of breakfast of eggs, bacon, pancakes, and more at the Annual Veterans Day Ceremony and Fitness Fun Run. The Warrior's Breakfast is:

  • FREE for all Veterans, Military
  • INCLUDED with FUN REGISTRATION
  • and a suggested donation of $5 for all others

*All donations will directly benefit the new Center for Military & Veterans Success - West Valley.

Whether you're participating in the Fun Run, enjoying the Veterans Day Exhibits and Entertainment or BOTH, stick around for a Warrior's Breakfast followed by a Veterans Day Ceremony. 

The Veterans Day Ceremony includes dignitary speakers from across the West Valley. This year's speakers include Avondale Vice Mayor Bryan Kilgore, Valerie L. Berube, 56th MSG, 56th FW, Luke Air Force Base, American Legion Post 61, and more. With military branch medleys by EMCC Jazz Ensemble, and other patriotic performances. 

A lot of fun!

Expect to honor Veterans among us.  Expect to enjoy activities, a hearty meal and entertainment. Expect to have a good time!

General Parking is located in on the map found in Event Details, however there will be plenty additional parking and staff to help you guide there and to event.
