24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year

The Public Safety Office is located at 3200 North Dysart Road.  The office is in the new Public Safety building at the North-end of Parking Lot A by the Dysart and Sage entrance.  The office can be easily identified by the College Public Safety sign over the entrance.

Mission

The Maricopa County Community College District Governing Board, through the Public Safety Department (PSD) located on each college campus, is dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment.

The mission of the Public Safety Department at each college is to provide assistance and security for people on campus, protection of district and personal property, traffic control, visitor assistance, operation of a lost and found function, loss prevention and loss reporting, identification of safety hazards, training and orientation of employees and students.

Authority

The Public Safety Commander and all College Police Officers have full peace officer authority, including arrest authority under Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS) Title 13-3883 and as further defined by the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board. The College Public Safety department's Police Aides have no arrest authority except those granted under ARS 13-3884.
