New Dual Enrollment Student Registration Steps
Welcome to Estrella Mountain Community College's Dual Enrollment program! We are excited to get you registered and ready to earn college credits this semester.
As a Dual Enrollment student, you will follow the steps below to complete your registration to Estrella Mountain Community College. During the process, you’ll set up a student account, apply for admission, and complete the enrollment steps. To make that process easier:
- Have all test scores, high school transcripts, and ID authentication documents ready for use
- Check the Dual Enrollment Course Placement Chart and plan to complete any required placement exams prior to starting the steps below to enroll for quicker processing
- Have your MCCCD Course Number, MCCCD Course Title, Credits, 5-digit class number, & Instructor Name for each class
If you need any assistance during this process, please contact your embedded advisor or email [email protected]
Step 1: Create a Student Account
(View enrollment steps for returning students)
- Go to the Starting a New Application page.
- On the “Starting a New Application” screen, click “No” if none of the items listed apply to you. This will take you to the application to create an MEID (your Maricopa Enterprise ID).
- You will be required to submit ID Authentication as part of this process. ID Authentication must be on file before you can enroll.
- Be sure to select Estrella Mountain Community College when prompted to select a college.
Congratulations! You now have an MEID (example: MAR1234567), a password, a Student ID number (example: 82345678), and an official Maricopa email!
Step 2: Set Up Duo Two-Factor Authentication & Log Into Your Student Center
To keep your account secure, you must set up Duo two-factor authentication before accessing your Student Center and student
email. This needs to be established by you (the student) using your [email protected] email address and phone number. If you don’t have a smartphone, there are programs available to help you get one. One such resource is Lifeline, a federal program that provides free cell phones to Americans who fall below certain income thresholds.
- Download the Duo Mobile app from either Apple's AppStore or Google Play.
- Follow the setup instructions using your @maricopa.edu student email.
- Log in to your Student Center and start using Duo when prompted.
Step 3: Complete Your Dual Enrollment Forms
Completing your required forms will take 1-20 minutes and cannot be saved until completed, so plan accordingly!
To find your forms:
- Log into your Student Center using your Maricopa email and password, then click the Student Forms tile.
- Click the High School Dual Enrollment tile to access and complete the following forms:
Forms you need to complete:
- ID Authentication Form: Upload your identification documents
- Under-18 & FERPA Release Form: If you're under 18 and a first-time Dual Enrollment student, your partner or legal guardian must complete a portion of this form.
- Dual Enrollment Class Form: ALL Dual Enrollment students must complete this form to register for classes.
- Enter your MCCCD Course Number, MCCCD Course Title, Credits, 5-digit class number, & Instructor Name for each class.
- Review the high school college course list to determine if your classes have prerequisites.
- Upload any supporting documentation or complete the required EdReady placement or Accuplacer test if applicable
Communication will be sent to your Maricopa Student email address if there are any additional required steps or documentation. Please check your email or reach out to the EMCC Dual Team at [email protected].

You can pay your tuition and fees online, over the phone (Call 623-935-8888, select Option 2), or in person at EMCC's Student Business Services office. You can also set up a payment plan online. (View tuition rates and deadlines)
