Artificial Intelligence

As artificial intelligence (AI) technology rapidly accelerates with new tools, technology, and applications, the demand for workforce training also increases. Occupations currently requesting AI skills include business analyst, data engineer, engineer, software developer, architect, and many more. High-profile companies requesting AI skills include Intel, IBM, Wells Fargo, Deloitte, Amazon, and American Express, as well as companies in the semiconductor industry. To support the driving demand for AI technology, Intel and Maricopa Community Colleges have teamed up to create Arizona’s first AI certificate and degree program. Efforts for the development and delivery of the AI program have been supported by the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), Maricopa Workforce, Economic Development, and Intel.

The AI program curriculum focuses on AI (including AI for business solutions and other applications), natural language processing, computer vision, computer programming (Python), machine learning, math, engineering, and statistics. It also spotlights building machine learning models that can predict, make decisions, and enhance human capabilities.

To learn the highly valuable, in-demand skills that this program offers, enroll in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) program today. The journey toward improving the nation’s workforce, economy, and community starts here.

Students at any Maricopa Community College may need to complete courses at more than one of our colleges.

EMCC has partnered with Intel, the Arizona Commerce Authority, and Chandler-Gilbert Community College to create the first associate degree (AAS) and certificate of completion (CCL) in the nation in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.

This program will enable students to develop traditional skills such as data collection, AI model training, coding, and exploring the societal impact of AI technology.
