Neurodiversity Awareness Month Celebration

Decorative image with words "Neurodiversity Awareness Month"

Neurodiversity Awareness Month is observed in April and aims to raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and highlight the strength of neurodivergent individuals. Harvard Health defines neurodiversity as the concept that neurological differences--such as Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and others--are natural variations in the human genome, not deficits to be cured. While it includes a wide range of neurological differences, our featured speaker, Ms. Cricket Barrientos, will discuss life on the autism spectrum. She is the Founder of the organization, Sounds of Autism, which focuses on safely integrating families and children of Autism, including others At-Risk, back into society through unconditional love and support.
