EMCC Celebrates Community College Month with 1-Day Crowdfunding Campaign

AVONDALE, ARIZONA, April 26 – Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is celebrating Community College Month with “Be A Student’s Hero Day of Giving,” a one-day crowdfunding campaign, on April 29. The goal is to raise $5,000 for EMCC’s general scholarship fund, which helps its students with tuition, books, and emergency assistance.

“The state already does a nonprofit day of giving but we wanted to pursue our own effort, similar to what other higher educational institutions do,” said Jonathan Robles, EMCC’s Director of Alumni, Corporate & Foundation Relations. “We have learned that Dallas Community College District has raised $1 million in their Day of Giving.”

Donors can join the “Be A Student’s Hero Day of Giving” campaign and pledge a gift at https://justgiving.com/campaign/EMCC-StudentsHero2021?bblinkid=250307007&bbemailid=30683579&bbejrid=1934415753.
