The Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation has extended the Fall 2020 scholarship application deadline to May 31.
The Foundation made the decision to extend the deadline by more than a month in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We understand this is a difficult time for our students, and we hope that this small measure of relief will help them focus on their health and safety,” said Judy Sanchez, Director of Development & College Relations - Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation.
Students can apply for hundreds of scholarships with one application by visiting https://mcccdf.academicworks.com/. Students are encouraged to use the Save and Keep Editing button as they complete their applications. When writing essays, students should be positive, truthful, and descriptive while reflecting on their life goals and career aspirations. Students are encouraged to ask a friend or family member to review their work for grammatical errors, as well as take advantage of the Writing Center.
Scholarship disbursement is still scheduled to take place in June and July as planned, but modifications may be made as the situation changes. Award notifications will be sent to students’ Gmail accounts.
Scholarships are made possible through the support of donors as well as departments and programs throughout the 10 Maricopa Community Colleges.
