Apply For Graduation

Congratulations on this step in your education journey! Students who have met or will meet their certificate or degree requirements during any semester may apply for graduation (click here to see deadlines for participating in the graduation ceremony). Students must apply for graduation to have their degree(s) or certificate(s) officially awarded and listed on their college transcript.

Let's get started!

1. Review Degree Progress Report (find it in your Student Center) 
2. Submit a “Graduation Readiness Request Form”
3. Ensure all non-Maricopa Community College official transcripts are on file with EMCC
4. Check your Student Center Advising Notes for updates
5. If eligible, complete the Graduation Application provided by your advisor 
6. Complete Graduation Survey
7. Return the signed application to EMCC Academic Advisement or the Welcome Desk in the Komatke Enrollment Center
8. Your advisor will submit all documents to Admissions & Records

Don’t wait until the graduation application deadline! Meet with your advisor early (months before the deadline, if possible), or you risk missing the deadline and not graduating that semester.

• Fall Graduation: Last day of EMCC fall classes
• Spring Graduation: Last day of EMCC spring classes 
• Summer Graduation: Last day of EMCC summer classes

Applications are accepted until the end of the semester. Once applied, you will receive additional information to your Maricopa email with instructions on how to register for the commencement ceremony. All graduates, regardless of the semester applied for graduation, can participate in the commencement ceremony.
