Animal Ambassadors

Animal Ambassador Community Outreach Program

Are you a Pre-Vet student looking for a unique opportunity to provide care for exotic animals?  Are you a Zoology or Wildlife Ecology student looking to gain some experience with small animal handling?  Are you an Education student looking to hone your scientific communication skills? Our Life Science Division houses over 15 live animal models including reptiles, arthropods, and small mammals as part of our Animal Ambassadors Community Outreach Program!  We conduct up to five off-campus outreach events each semester and maintain open lab hours in MON 125 that allows students, faculty, staff and community members to positively interact with this small collection of habituated outreach animals.
