No appointment needed for placement tests. Bring a valid photo ID and your Maricopa ID number. Placement testing usually takes about 1.5 to 2 hours for all 3 placement tests. The testing office is located in the Komatke B building on the south end of campus. See the Related Resources section on the right to prepare for placement tests.
Details about Placement Testing--Maricopa County Community Colleges use the Accuplacer & Writeplacer tests to determine initial course placement in English, Reading and Mathematics courses. Placement testing is free, and is required for new students. Placement tests are not timed. For more information, please click the Placement Testing link on the left.
Nursing Entrance Exam--The HESI A2 exam is required for students applying to the MCCCD Nursing Programs (AAS degree at any Maricopa Community College.) The fee is $40. The HESI A2 exam is a four-hour timed test. To find out more about what is on the Hesi test, please click the Hesi A2 link on the left.
E.S.L. Testing--The CELSA exam is a free 45-minute timed exam for English Language Learners. To find out more about the CELSA test, please click the ESL Testing link on the left.
Proctored Tests--Students attending other colleges or universities may request to have a test proctored here with proper protocol and scheduling. The cost for proctored exams is $20. Call 623-935-8860 to schedule a proctored test.
CLEP Testing--Register online at https://clep.collegeboard.org . Then call our testing office to schedule your appointment.
