Important Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

Based on the continuously evolving status surrounding COVID-19, Maricopa Community Colleges (MCCCD) has decided all online courses will continue as scheduled and all in-person and hybrid classes are now postponed through Sunday, April 5, 2020. Students are encouraged to contact their instructors for any additional class information.

Testing Services

Students now have multiple options for placement!  Bring your High School transcript or ACT/SAT/GED score report in to Testing Services OR upload it online at

  • HS GPA--2.6 or higher, at least 2 years of HS completed, no more than 10 years out of HS
  • ACT--scores of 18 or higher, scores valid for 5 years
  • GED--scores of 165 or higher, only valid for tests taken during/after 2014
  • SAT--scores of 480 or higher for Rdg&Wtg, 530 or higher for math; scores valid for 5 years

EMCC Testing Services provides testing for new and continuing students following the standards and guidelines established by the National College Testing Association. Placement testing is un-timed and is available on a walk-in basis during the regular hours of operation.  Students will need to bring their EMCC Student Number (not MEID) and a valid photo ID for all testing services.
