The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) provides credit-by-exam options. The tests assess college-level knowledge and provide a mechanism for earning college credits without taking college courses. A minimum qualifying score is necessary and each institution awards credits to students based upon the test score. To take a CLEP exam:
1. Check the AZTransfer Exam Equivalency Guide to see how your CLEP credits will transfer to the college you plan to attend.
2. Register and pay for your CLEP tests at https://clep.collegeboard.org and print your Exam Registration Ticket.
3. Contact EMCC’s office to schedule your CLEP testing appointment. Call 623-935-8860.
4. On the day of your test, pay the $25 proctoring fee at EMCC’s Student Business Services desk. Bring your receipt, your Exam Registration Ticket, and a state-issued photo ID to Testing Services.
Important! - You must send an official score report from College Board to the college(s) where you want to receive credit for CLEP testing. Colleges will not grant credit without the official score transcript.
