FALL 2020 SEMESTER AND COVID-19 UPDATE: The EMCC campus is open to EMCC employees, students attending on-campus classes, or those with an appointment. All student support services are available online. Students are encouraged to contact their instructors for additional information.

How To Apply for Aid

In order to apply for federal aid, you must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Remember you must submit a new application for every new academic year.

To be eligible to apply for financial aid, a student must be:

  • U.S. Citizen OR
  • U.S. Permanent Resident (with alien registration number)
  • Have a valid social security number
  • have a high school diploma or GED (some exceptions may apply)
  • Enrolled or plan to be enrolled in college AND
  • Be working towards an eligible program of study
    Skill Center Certificates Programs must have a minimum of 600 clock hours
  • Be registered with selective service (males between 18-25)
